Table Tennis All Ireland Champions!

Congratulations to our Under-19 Girls team who became All-Ireland Champions on Thursday 28th April in the National Basketball Arena, Dublin.  Well done also to our Under-15 Boys team who also progressed to the All-Ireland Table Tennis finals.  Congratulations also to our Under-19 Boys team who won silver in the Connacht finals on Thursday 7th April in Castlebar.

Irish Junior Maths Competition Final

Four of our first year students have qualified for the final of the Irish Junior Maths Competition which will be held on Friday, May 6th next in Carrick-on-Shannon Community School at 6pm. Congratulations are extended to Matthew McGrath, Stephen Cafferky, Aaron Brennan and Amy Lavin.  Well done on your excellent achievement and the very best of luck in the final!

TY Mini-Company Merit Award

Congratulations to our TY mini-company 'Power Clothing' and their teacher Ms. Carty on their recent success at the regional finals of the Local Enterprise Office Student Awards.  Cian Brennan, Aaron Laing, Daniel Carmody and Darragh Keenan received a merit award for their business.  The team are pictured below.

Coláiste Muire rated in top 20 mixed

schools in the whole of Ireland!

Coláiste Muire were recently rated in the top 20 Irish feeder schools for University entrance out of 490 mixed post primary schools in the whole of Ireland.  The survey was published by the Irish Times and showed 98% of our students sitting the Leaving Certificate in 2015 progressing to a variety of third level Colleges (including Trinity, DCU, UCC, NUIG, MU, UL, DIT, Athlone I.T., Sligo I.T., Letterkenny I.T. & GMIT).  The survey results are testament to our continual focus on effort and personal bests throughout our school.  Well done to all students, teachers and families for your continual hard work and support.  The survey results are available by clicking the links below.

National Flag Presentation Ceremony
