Coláiste Muire is a co-educational secondary school, under the trusteeship of CEIST, situated in the west of Ireland in the town of Ballymote. Ballymote is located 22 kilometres from Sligo town. The school serves a large catchment area across South County Sligo.

There are approximately 250 pupils currently attending Coláiste Muire. The school has a staff of 20 teachers. Coláiste Muire operates a 6 year cycle catering for students aged between 12 and 18.

Programmes covered include the Junior Certificate, the Leaving Certificate, the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) and the Transition Year Programme. 

The school is fortunate to have a most caring and friendly staff, all of whom are committed to the delivery of a comprehensive range of subjects, courses and events covering both the curricular and the extra-curricular.

Parenting your Teen

Tubbercurry Family Resource Centre introduces its new parenting programme 'Parenting your Teen' on October 28th from 7 to 9pm in the Tubbercurry Family Resource Centre.  This is a groundbreaking 8 session course for those parenting young people between 11-18 years, specially developed to improve communication and relationships.  Topics covered include Parenting Styles, Teen Development, Rules & Consequences, Dealing with Conflict, Improving Self-Esteem, Problem Solving.  Call now to register on 071 9186926.
